Their brief

From: CEO, leadership team of 10
Subject: Three days away to plan next year

“Our leadership team needs three days away to agree next year's plan. Somewhere that feels far away but is easy to reach. Not a hotel conference room.”

Our take

Ten people don't need a resort. They need a house. We'd take a whole lodge in the Punakha valley in Bhutan: no other guests, working sessions by the fire. Then we'd add what they didn't ask for: an evening with someone who has spent a career on how Bhutan measures progress, in a country that has developed its own way of thinking about progress beyond GDP. It's a sharper conversation about what your company measures than any offsite slide.

The programme

  • Fly into Paro, drive over the pass to Punakha
  • Day 1: arrive, riverside walk, welcome dinner
  • Day 2: two working sessions, then the evening conversation
  • Day 3: close the decisions, afternoon hike, farewell dinner
  • Facilitator optional

How we work

Four questions behind every programme.

Whether it's ten people in a valley lodge or a cohort crossing three cities, we answer the same four, in this order.

  1. 01

    Objective

What should be different when everyone gets home? We start there, not with a destination.

  2. 02

    Design

The subject decides the place. Then comes the shape of the days: what happens when, and what's left unscheduled on purpose.

  3. 03

    Access

The people and places that make the trip worth taking: a founder, a factory floor, a city planner, a guide who knows the mountain. We find them and arrange the time.

  4. 04

    Delivery

One team from the first call to the last transfer, on the ground with you throughout.

The practical part

And yes, we handle all of it.

Once the programme is designed, one team runs every part of it.

  • Every supplier and line item vetted
  • Flights and visas
  • Rooms and full buyouts
  • Transfers
  • Meeting spaces and AV, through specialist partners
  • Speaker series, breakouts and workshops
  • Team-building, adventure and wellness
  • Meals and evenings
  • Our team on site, start to finish

What we believe

Step out of the room.

The thinking that matters rarely happens in the room you're usually in. So we take people out of it, closer to the thing they're trying to understand, and make sure nothing about getting there gets in the way.

The TokenLinx group at Uhuru Peak, the summit of Kilimanjaro

Kilimanjaro

Company summit trek · Tanzania

A company group on Africa's highest mountain. Everyone reached the summit.

A summit trek for a company group, planned around a climb everyone could finish: the route, the acclimatisation days, guides, kit and briefings before anyone left home. It was the second offsite the company ran with us.

“All of us in the group reached the summit thanks to the excellent advice and planning by their team… This was the 2nd offsite we did with them.”
Anil Adoni, CEO, TokenLinx
The whole SWYM team together on a hilltop during their offsite

Coorg

Company offsite · SWYM

A fully remote company's annual offsite, everyone together in the coffee hills.

A company that works apart all year, in one place for its annual offsite: sessions built around the challenges the team was facing, a welcome gift waiting in every room, a lawn dinner under the lights, and a morning on the hilltop together.

“An extraordinary company offsite experience that not only provided a much-needed respite from our daily routines but also specifically targeted our unique challenges.”
Arvind Krishnan, CEO, SWYM
The whole alumni batch together on their reunion night in Galle, Sri Lanka

Galle, Sri Lanka

Business-school alumni reunion · 60 people

A batch reunion by the sea, from a group dive to the gala night.

Sixty members of a business-school alumni batch, together again on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Met at the airport, settled in by the sea, and given days they would remember doing together: a guided scuba dive for first-timers and divers alike, time on the water, and a gala night that turned into a party.

“Signature Offsites organised our outing … in Sri Lanka and it was absolutely amazing! Attention to detail and care is mind-blowing.”
Vishwanathan, VP
An incentive group watching a Maasai jumping dance in Kenya

Kenya

Incentive trip · 16 people

A reward trip for sixteen top performers, into the Maasai Mara.

An incentive programme built to feel earned: safari days in the Maasai Mara, time with a Maasai community, and every transfer, stay and meal handled so the winners had nothing to organise but their camera.

“The highlight was the time we spent with the Maasai community. The safari, the stays and the entire experience were planned so well that the team could simply enjoy the trip. It felt like a genuine reward for them.”
Vijay R, RE, Chennai
Cyclists being flagged off at the start of the Tour of Tamil Nadu

Tour of Tamil Nadu

Official travel partner · 60+ riders · 7 days

Seven days, 60+ cyclists, a different town every night.

Official travel partner to the Tour of Tamil Nadu, a multi-day cycling tour run by a not-for-profit cycling association. We helped design the tour and handled group hospitality for more than sixty riders as they crossed the mountains and regions of Tamil Nadu: stays, meals and on-ground support, moving with the riders every day.

The team behind the programme.

Programme design, travel expertise and on-ground delivery, brought together under one team.

Signature Offsites brings together experience across programme design, travel and business leadership, supported by trusted specialists on the ground. Sindhu Shanmugam founded the business after more than fifteen years designing and running group programmes, from the coffee hills of Coorg to the summit of Kilimanjaro.

One accountable team stays with the programme from the first brief to the final departure.

Questions

Questions we're often asked.

What does Signature Offsites actually do?

We design and run programmes that take people out of the room they usually work in. For organisations, that means leadership retreats, company offsites, incentive trips, company gatherings and reunions. For institutions, it means study treks, international immersions, field modules and school trips. We start with what you're trying to achieve, design the programme around it, and then run all of it, with one accountable team from the first call to the last transfer.

How is this different from a travel agency or an events company?

A travel agency books what you ask for, and an events company produces the day. We start a step earlier, with the objective, and design the programme around it: the place, the shape of the days, the sessions and the people participants meet. Then we run the logistics ourselves, so the thinking and the execution stay with the same team.

What size groups do you work with?

From a leadership team of ten around one table to a whole company or cohort. The planning scales with the group: larger programmes are organised into accommodation, movement, sessions, production, participant communication and on-site delivery, each with a clear owner. Where a brief needs staging, AV or production, we bring in specialists, and you still have one accountable lead, backed by the wider team.

Where do you work?

Wherever the subject is best understood, across India and abroad: Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Groups often travel in from several cities, or several countries, at once, and we plan arrivals so everyone lands in the same window.

Can you work with our facilitator, faculty or existing suppliers?

Yes. Many programmes are led by the client's own people, whether that is a facilitator, faculty or teachers, and we design and run everything around them. We can also work with a venue you've already chosen or alongside your travel desk, and take on as much or as little of the programme as the brief needs.

Are you a MICE company?

Yes, we run meetings, incentives, conferences and events, including travel for teams attending conferences and exhibitions. But we don't start with the destination or the logistics. We start with what you want the group to achieve, design what should happen around it, and then handle the travel and delivery end to end.

What happens after I send a brief, and how do you price it?

We get back to you with a few questions, then come back with a first idea: where, what happens and why, with itemised costs. Every programme is costed to the brief, so you can see exactly where the budget goes, and adjust it, before anything is confirmed.

Can you work within our procurement process?

Yes. We can share company documents, complete vendor registration forms and provide detailed proposals and itemised costing in the format your finance or procurement team needs.

How early should we start?

For large groups and international programmes, three to four months ahead is ideal. Peak season, full buyouts and school trips need longer. Shorter lead times are often possible, so ask.

Step out of the room.

Ready when you are.

Tell us what you're trying to achieve. We'll come back with a first view of what the programme could look like.
